Saturday Night Fever

I’m pretty sure I’m getting sick. Shit. On to better things:

Today was a good day. Early in the day, we went to the post office to pick up materials for shipping. Then, we went to target and bought various items to help us finish our Christmas gifting. We finished our shopping online, and bought some materials for wrapping and such. We also bought some food and home items that we were in need of, and a few good bottles of pinot noir and cabernet. :)

The day turned into a good night, too. At around 7 pm, Alan and I went to the gym for about an hour. We ran one mile at an 8:30 pace and then walked for another 8 minutes. Then, while Alan worked on arms, I did some squat and lunge exercises incorporated with various cardio moves. Lastly, we finished with abs and stretching, and peaced out.

When we got home, we finished writing our thank you cards. I felt like a total slacker having waited slightly over a month to finish them up. Then, google to the rescue, I searched for the typical amount of time brides take to get out their thank you cards. 4-8 weeks is just fine, so I’m stoked about that. Societal expectations: check! Alan did his entire side of the family’s thank you cards, so that totally saved my carpel tunnel. What a trooper.. Seriously! :)

I just made scrambled eggs and vegetarian sausage for a night time snack. Alan went to the gas station and bought us sugar-free redbull and made me a vodka+redbull cocktail. :) He is drinking an amazing new beer we discovered today (at Target) called Michelob Ultra- Amber. I had had the Michelob Ultra before, a light beer that is everything a light beer normally is: semi-tasty but lacking flavor. The amber version, however, is full-flavored and tasty as hell! With just over 100 calories, 5% alcohol, and less than 4 carbs, it’s a pretty good choice as far as alcohol goes. It’s always a good day when you discover a new, health conscious (haha) beer! :)

So, today was typical, but nonetheless amazing. Just another day of married life. It’s like Alan says: we basically have a sleepover every night. And who doesn’t love a day of shopping and a sleepover? …even if it is with the opposite sex (no cooties here, though.) :)
