Honeymoon !!!!

Our honeymoon was absolutely a-FUCKing-mazing (yes, with a capital fuck!) :)

Alan and me at Chichen Itza (Mayan Ruins in Yucatan, MX)

We went to Sun Palace in Cancun. It’s a *couples only* resort, but not in a creepy swingers sort of way. (Warning: there are a few of “those types” of resorts in Cancun; if you’re interested, I’m sure you’ll find them— but Sun Palace isn’t one of “those”…) No topless sunbathing (boo!), but no crazy weird couples trying to get in on whats not their’s, either. There was still a lot of harmless personable interaction, though, and a lot of good times.

We met other couples “from the internet” as well, which was humorous to us, being an internet couple and all. Sadly, we have realized that our market is pretty saturated. In fact, who doesn’t meet on the internet these days? Having met on AOL 2.0 isn’t shit anymore to most “folks.” E-harmony is the new awesome. Oh well, we are still “elite” <— and anyone who knows what this means deserves a good e-hug. :)

During the course of our honeymoon, we became extensively bored with the “all-inclusive” experience. We decided to rent a car and check out the Mayan ruins (not a regret!) We were in awe… Chichen-Itza was incredible, and the il-kil cenote was TITS, as Alan would say. (Haha) :) I loved every second of our *Mexican Turismo* — especially getting completely LOST in the city and having to ask for directions from the locals. NO inglés, pero ES BIEN— Ashley habla muchomuchomucho español… O … no. :)

The highlight for us (and I’m gonna go ahead and speak for Alan here) was, most definitely, the bartenders. Hell, our favorite bartender was even named “Alan!” :) Tequila! Tequila! Tequila! y mas… Perfecto. The perfect honeymoon, the perfect destination, and the perfect husband.

**P.S. even without the perfect husband, the trip would have been AMAZING! although, not with the capital “fuck” in there— see first sentence. :
