Hello 2010
I’m not much of a blogger on here, I guess. Mostly I’m blogging these days on http://girlwithcomputer.com. I talk about Alan a bit on there, but it’s not a blog focused on our marriage, that’s for sure. I will admit, I think it is very healthy to constantly talk and think about my relationship with Alan. The reality is, though, that this doesn’t always happen. Every...

Moved to Rochester...
So we packed everything up in a uhaul trailer and drove from Southern California to Rochester, NY. We took our two beagles, Lulu and Scout, and our rabbit Mohammad. We also packed just about everything we could fit into the Uhaul trailer and towed it with my 4runner. We left very few material possessions behind, as most of the leavable things were sold in our series of yard sales and via E-bay...

Christmas Eve in a 500 sq ft studio
The words of my great grandmother ring in my ears: “You can live in the largest mansion in the world, but if there’s no love, it will never be big enough. But if you have love, you can be happy anywhere.” 500 Sq feet is hardly enough room to contain all the love we have on our first Christmas together, but it’s enough room for us to share some tea, munch on a box of...

Addicted to Snow
Well, I ended up with a minor head cold, but after tons of herbal tea and vegetables, I recovered fairly quickly. Now, I’m having serious snow withdrawals! Alan, being from New York state, is having snow withdrawals just the same. I don’t have the excuse of being acclimated to the snow since birth, but I have spent a good deal of my time in the San Bernardino Mountains for the last...

Saturday Night Fever
I’m pretty sure I’m getting sick. Shit. On to better things: Today was a good day. Early in the day, we went to the post office to pick up materials for shipping. Then, we went to target and bought various items to help us finish our Christmas gifting. We finished our shopping online, and bought some materials for wrapping and such. We also bought some food and home items that we were...

The Biggest Losers
Alan and I have been on a “diet” for about a week now. Before I go on, I want to mention something very important (and healthy): I love my husband for being loving and supportive, never once having ever told me I need to lose weight, and always telling me I’m the most beautiful woman alive, because he really believes it. (I just don’t necessarily personally agree, but...

Budget Woes & "The Light" -by the wife
Who doesn’t have debt these days? The premartial therapist largely warned us against credit card debt (albeit the fact that I mentioned I had a bunch of it.) Grrr. IknowIknowIknow. Credit card debt is badbadbadbad. But I still have it. It’s nice that FICO has restructured it’s rating system as of late. My credit score has boosted from 670 or so to a whopping 690. But, alas, it’s a number....

Honeymoon !!!!
Our honeymoon was absolutely a-FUCKing-mazing (yes, with a capital fuck!) :) We went to Sun Palace in Cancun. It’s a *couples only* resort, but not in a creepy swingers sort of way. (Warning: there are a few of “those types” of resorts in Cancun; if you’re interested, I’m sure you’ll find them— but Sun Palace isn’t one of...

Married? Married.
We are married. I can’t give you an accurate description of the day, but I can say one thing: It was the best day (in the wholewideworld) that I NEVER want to have again. <3 Wow, though….. Now: what to do? We suddenly need a routine, a budget, a house? Kids can wait, that’s all that I’m sure about, though. Everything else is new, brand new, and it’s awesome to...
